NAIFA is pleased to welcome Kim Durcho as a Grassroots Director. Durcho joins NAIFA’s Government Relations team and reports to Senior Vice President for Government Relations Diane Boyle.
As Grassroots Director, Durcho will develop and execute a comprehensive advocacy program to foster member participation in grassroots efforts at the national and state level.
“Kim’s experience in the policy arena and with grassroots organizing makes her a strong asset, and we are very pleased to have her join NAIFA’s Government Relations team,” said Boyle. “Grassroots influence and strong member engagement are key to NAIFA’s continued success as our industry’s advocacy leader working on behalf of insurance and financial professionals and their clients.”
Durcho is an experienced association leader. She held several positions over the past six-and-a-half years with BIPAC, including her most recent role as Vice President. She led the association’s member development, grassroots, voter education, and PAC programs. She worked with many associations’ government relations and grassroots teams in a consultative capacity. Prior to BIPAC, Durcho worked as Finance Director for Tilghman for Congress, where she provided support to the candidate and campaign manager. She interned with Ridge Policy Group, a government relations firm, providing legislative research and support.
Durcho holds a master’s degree in Public Administration and a certificate in Human Resources Management from Penn State University and a BA in English from Millersville University. She participated in the WeLead Program of the Women & Politics Institute at American University. Her volunteer involvement includes previously serving on the Montgomery County Library Board for two years. She is currently pursuing her Certified Association Executive (CAE) credential through ASAE.
