More than 120 Insurance and Financial Services professionals are meeting in Washington, D.C., for NAIFA’s National Advocacy Meeting, December 2-4 at the Marriott Renaissance Downtown. Among the attendees are leading political advocates in the industry, including NAIFA’s Board of Trustees and Executive Committee, NAIFA’s national political involvement and political action committees, and NAIFA state grassroots committee chairs and political action committee chairs.
“The NAIFA National Advocacy Meeting gathers our association’s most dedicated, energetic, and influential advocacy leaders from around the country,” said NAIFA CEO Kevin Mayeux. “We come together as one NAIFA to promote the best possible regulatory and legislative environment for NAIFA members and their clients. NAIFA advocates on behalf of Main Street Americans, those who rely on insurance and financial products and services to mitigate life’s inevitable risks, obtain financial security, and achieve prosperity.”
Attendees will participate in committee meetings and state caucuses where they will share intelligence, establish advocacy strategies and priorities, and fine tune NAIFA’s advocacy message. General sessions will provide a legislative briefing, advocacy skills training, and motivation from special guests. This year’s general session presenters include:
NAIFA’s National Advocacy Meeting will culminate Wednesday, Dec. 4, with a Day on Capitol Hill. Attendees will have meetings with their members of Congress and congressional staff to discuss issues important to their businesses, the insurance and financial services industry as a whole, and the 90 million American families who depend on products and services provided by agents and advisors for financial security.
