On the ten-year anniversary of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (ACA) being signed into law, NAIFA looks back at the milestones of health care policy and how the ACA has changed over the last decade. Implementation of the ACA and the tenants included in this monumental health care program have proven to be fluid throughout the existence of the program.

Legislators continue to work to improve and tweak regulations on an annual basis, with many changes being adopted only after rigorous study, analysis, and debate. NAIFA has worked, and continues to work, alongside legislators throughout this entire process, advocating for sound health care policies that bring uninsured Americans into the system and to reduce the high cost of health care for everyone. Of course, these two challenges are related, and one cannot be solved independently. NAIFA continues its quest to work with legislators to develop principles that support a workable solution to our health care problems.

To commemorate the ten-year anniversary of the ACA, NAIFA has compiled a working list of major provisions and changes to the ACA, from its inception to the present day.
