NAIFA Policy Director Maeghan Gale will represent insurance and financial advisors and NAIFA on the Board of Directors of the National Insurance Producer Registry (NIPR).

NIPR is a not-for-profit technology company with the goal of streamlining the producer licensing process. Governed by a Board of Directors representing state insurance regulators and members of the insurance industry, NIPR is an affiliate of the National Association of Insurance Commissioners (NAIC). Gale joins the board immediately.

Gale was previously a licensed insurance and financial services professional. As NAIFA Policy Director, she performs research and analysis and develops and coordinates advocacy policies and positions for NAIFA. She works closely with such groups as the NAIC, National Coalition of Insurance Legislators (NCOIL), and North American Securities Administrators Association (NASAA) that create model legislation and regulations. 

As a leader of interstate advocacy in the insurance and financial services field, NAIFA works with these organizations to create and promote rules and laws that protect consumers and promote the ability of agents and advisors to serve their clients and the public.
