Advocacy in action blog

There are many reasons to love NAIFA’s advocacy work – how about protecting your business and clients from harmful legislative and regulatory proposals, for starters? And there are just as many ways to get involved and make a difference.

Show your love for NAIFA advocacy by:

Registering for NAIFA’s Congressional Conference

The annual Congressional Conference is NAIFA’s signature advocacy event. Financial professionals from across the country gather in Washington D.C. to receive grassroots training and policy briefings, learn from advocacy experts, and meet with their members of Congress during the insurance and financial services industry’s most influential Capitol Hill fly-in.

Attending a State Legislative Day

Many NAIFA chapters hold legislative days in state capitals around the country. Learn about state-specific issues affecting your businesses and clients and meet with state lawmakers. Learn how you can get involved.

Learning More About IFAPAC

NAIFA’s political action committee is among the largest in the industry. The federal PAC along with 50 state PACs assure that NAIFA is a part of the political process and amplifies our voice in policy debates affecting our members and their clients and communities.

Getting Your Financial Security Advocate Badge

NAIFA’s Financial Security Advocate Academy offers free training for NAIFA members. Entirely revamped for 2023, the program will take you from the fundamentals of advocacy and allow you to graduate to advanced concepts and develop skills that you can put into action with confidence. Those who complete the program qualify to receive the Financial Security Advocate badge.

Updating Your Profile on NAIFA’s Advocacy Action Center

With over 80 newly elected members of Congress, some in newly created districts, it is important to get involved early with NAIFA's advocacy to build relationships with these members. Do you know a member of Congress or state legislator? Report your relationship on your profile at the NAIFA Advocacy Action Center.
