Advocacy in action blog

Tuesday, March 23, at 11 am eastern

The PRO Act has passed the House of Representatives and would reclassify many insurance and financial professions as “employees” rather than “independent contractors” under federal labor laws. This could disrupt relationships between companies and producers, complicate tax filing for agents and advisors, and make it more difficult for many NAIFA members to work in their clients’ best interests.

NAIFA’s Government Relations team will discuss how the PRO Act would impact financial professionals, where the legislation stands now, and what NAIFA is doing to protect your business. This is vital information every producer needs to know.

The PRO Act briefing will kick off the NAIFA Business Performance Center's Impact Week programming. Everyone is welcome to attend all of the session, but for the advocacy briefing be sure to select the Day One, March 23, session.
