NAIFA members across the country are taking grassroots advocacy directly to home districts, meeting face-to-face to share the priorities of Main Street Americans and the financial professionals who serve them. Recent in-district meetings brought NAIFA members together with key lawmakers and their staff in South Carolina, California, Tennessee, and Montana.
In South Carolina, NAIFA-SC members Blake Amick, Bruce Pope, David Grookett, and Wister Grookett met with Congressman Joe Wilson. They highlighted how public policy impacts their clients and communities. In another South Carolina meeting, NAIFA-SC Upstate members met with Congressman William Timmons, underscoring the essential role financial professionals play in helping families and small businesses achieve financial security.
On the West Coast, NAIFA-CA met with Jason Bercovitch, District Director for Rep. Scott Peters, in California’s 52nd District. Marc Sigmon and Kevin Tostado represented NAIFA members, ensuring their voices were heard on issues important to the profession and the clients they serve.
In Tennessee, NAIFA Memphis members Tim Moran and Mark Miller met with Rep. David Kustoff to discuss legislative priorities affecting financial professionals and their clients.
In Montana, NAIFA-MT member Dan Rust met with Rep. Ryan Zinke, bringing the perspective of Montana’s Main Street professionals directly to the table.
These in-district meetings provide a valuable opportunity for NAIFA members to build relationships with legislators, share insights from their work with clients, and advocate for policies that promote financial security. In-district advocacy is ongoing, so NAIFA members are encouraged to reach out to their state grassroots chairs to see if meetings are scheduled in their state.
