NAIFA is celebrating a major legislative win out of Idaho. On March 20, 2023, Idaho Governor Brad Little signed H. 92 into law, making Idaho the 18th state to adopt financial literacy coursework as a requirement for high school graduation. The bill passed the Idaho House of Representatives 67-0-3 and the Idaho Senate 34-0-1.

Members of NAIFA-Idaho were stellar examples of the importance of grassroots engagement. NAIFA National Government Relations Committee Chair and NAIFA-Idaho Government Relations Committee Chair Hyatt Erstad, connected directly with his legislators making the ask to support H. 92. Further, NAIFA-Idaho State IFAPAC/PIC Chair EmmaLee Robinson provided virtual testimony in support of H. 92 from an airport while in transit after vacation!

NAIFA is extremely passionate about the importance of establishing a strong financial future. As opportunities for entrepreneurship increase with the expansion of social media, it is critical to provide financial literacy education and resources to future generations.
